TreeSisters

Restoring The Planet

At TreeSisters, we take direct climate action through our reforestation and green cover work and encourage and champion a consciousness shift in each of us. A shift from a consumer to a restorative culture... We embed women's empowerment, local and indigenous communities and nature into everything we do by providing resources, experiences and communities that inspire personal and collective action on behalf of the trees.

Donations to Treesisters

Tree saplings donated for planting
I donated a tree sapling for every online service purchased from January 2021  - November 2022 with TreeSisters who are dedicated to replenishing the Earth’s forests.

These trees restore landscapes, sequester carbon, create rainfall and provide a habitat for wildlife.

As of November 1, 2022, TreeSisters no longer provides individual tree counters, "As we move to more community-led projects with tree planting, restoration, education and women's empowerment embedded in the project design, segregating these activities isn't logical or helpful to the cause...  Our focus will be on what we have achieved collectively, not as individuals, because it is only in coming together that we can face the immense challenge in front of us. "

Why Trees?

Forests play a vital role in the hydrological cycles of our world, sequester the atmospheric carbon dioxide that is driving climate change and provide the most biodiverse regions on earth. When trees are removed, vibrant ecosystems are often overfarmed, eroded and rendered infertile in a cascade effect that is mirrored with social decline, grinding poverty and climate extremes. Reforestation can rapidly reverse these trends, stabilizing and nourishing the soils, restoring watersheds, revitalizing dry springs and providing good quality water to large populations living downstream.
