When Communication Helps
Wondering how and when to say goodbye to our animal family can feel overwhelming.
Our bond with our animals may be deeper than our most intimate human connections. Animals are interwoven into the daily fabric of our lives. They are our best friends and family.
Quality of life can shift gently or radically. You may grieve the changes, yet quality of life can remain even if it looks quite different.
End of life decisions can arise quickly due to accidents or illness. Or you may have been experiencing grief for years (known as anticipatory grief) if your animal has a chronic illness.
People are understandably concerned about their animal family member's quality of life. We hope for the best. A natural, peaceful passing in the comfort of our home. It doesn't always work out that way.
With animal communication you can ask your animal family member questions such as "how are you feeling?" "what do you need?" "how can I help you feel more comfortable at this time?" and "do you want help with your transition?"
No fear of taking action prematurely.
No burden of making a decision on your own (on behalf of your loved one).
No concern whether suffering is being prolonged.
End of life care becomes a process of honouring your animal family member's wishes (it's no longer a guessing game). It doesn't make saying goodbye any easier, though you know the actions you take are both respectful and supportive of your animal.
Animals who ask for help with assisted transition are grateful for your love, your care, and help with the process. They know it's not easy for you, and they appreciate your role. You're their advocate in the human world.
Animals do not fear death in the way many people do.
Transition is a powerful and sacred time (before, during and after).

I had been looking (online) for awhile for someone who could communicate with our pet and it just seemed right to connect with Christine... she was able to meet with us (with only our names and a picture of our best friend). Not knowing what to expect, Christine was able to tell us more about him than we would ever have thought possible. We knew she was communicating with him... We had every question answered. We knew what he wanted and how he felt. We were reassured he was happy and had a good life. We knew we soon had to say goodbye to our best friend and Christine made it easier...well, not easier, but she helped us to understand. If you have any doubts, know that Christine is compassionate and kind and able to give you peace of mind. I can assure you, you will not regret having connected with Christine.

Christine's kindness, attention and her honest, authentic gifts of communication with our family unit, dog, cat and human, created an interspecies dialogue that brought deeper understanding, and a sense of peace. As we navigate through the last stages of Angel Dog's Earth-life, we are stronger and less sad/ anxious. We all feel validated and respected. She made certain each of us had our chance to ask and answer the others. I am ever grateful and would highly recommend Christine's work to anyone! Thank you.

I worked with Christine a few years ago when one of my boys (Siamese cat) Puck was sick. She was a tremendous help and comfort. So when his brother started to feel more then usual unwell I immediately thought of Christine. Her knowledge and experience is unmeasurable. She helped me understand clearly Orpheus’s wishes so that I can respect him. It wasn’t easy, it’s never easy when it’s their time to transition. Orpheus had been in and out of the vet since October 2018, I knew when I contacted Christine that this was coming, but I wanted to ensure it was done with love and respect and what Orpheus wanted. Christine has a tremendous gift that helps humans connect at a higher level with their loved ones. Don’t hesitate to reach out to her. Thank you Christine.

Thank you so much, for everything. I am sure you have heard this many times in the past, but your call/ support/ communication has been a huge game changer for me. Being able to clearly hear and understand what Frodo is feeling, what he wants and what he needs has entirely changed how I am processing this experience. I cannot thank you enough for helping me understand what was in Frodo's heart and what he needed. I of course miss his physical presence, but I am so grateful that he is no longer suffering. Knowing that I did what was best for him alleviates any guilt about the decision. |
It is difficult for me to find the words to describe how magical it is to share a conversation with my animals through Christine. During the past year both of my animals were ill. Christine was able to connect us and I was able to ask what was helping them feel comfortable. As well, when it was became time to plan for Louie's transition, Christine's questions and her gentle nature allowed us to have the most beautiful send off. Thank you Christine for helping me be with my beloved animals during difficult times and to cherish the memories we recalled during our times together. Thank you for lighting the path on our journey. I will never forget the connections we shared. |
It’s very hard to describe how amazing it was for us a family to connect with our beloved dog, Frodo through Christine as our facilitator. Christine created a loving environment where my daughters and myself could share our feelings with our aging dog! For us it felt like we were meeting our boy for the first time. More importantly, we know what our plan is when it’s time for us to move forward. Thanks so much Christine. |
