The Result Of Merle To Merle Breeding
Supporting Animal Rescue
I provide pro bono communications to the rescue & sanctuary dogs of Poet's Vision 2.0 (and occasionally help coordinate fundraisers for them). Poet's Vision was recently rebirthed in September 2021 (having briefly closed), with the support of new partner Thunder's Treasures. Poet's Vision 2.0 is a fully bilingual (English & French) rescue based in Ontario and Quebec, Canada.

"We are dedicated to rescuing and re-homing deaf and visually impaired Australian Shepherds and Border Collies who have been abandoned, abused or surrendered through no fault of their own. With the help of volunteer foster families we provide a stable environment where the dogs are vetted, trained and loved until they are ready to find a family to call their own."

"For perhaps if the truth were known, we're all a little bit blind, a little deaf, a little handicapped, a little lonely, a little less than perfect.",

Poet's Vision 2.0 is an incorporated and registered not for profit organization located in Ontario & Quebec, Canada. Completely volunteer run, they rely on donations and fundraising to help cover the costs of food, materials and vetting procedures for the dogs in their care.
Poet's Vision 2.0 is dedicated to rescuing and re-homing deaf and visually impaired Australian Shepherds (mixes) and Border Collie (mixes) that are the direct result of merle to merle breeding.
Through no fault of their own many of these dogs end up abandoned, abused, neglected, dumped and killed because some consider them to be defective and unable to function in a seeing and hearing world. There are those who feel as if they are not capable of enjoying life however Poet's Vision 2.0 knows differently.
Even if a double merle dog makes it into a shelter their chances of being placed for adoption are slim and many are euthanized due to ignorance. Poet's Vision 2.0 knows that these dogs can and do lead happy lives.
With the help of volunteer foster families Poet's Vision 2.0 provides a stable environment where the dogs are treated as one of their own. The dogs brought into care are provided with all necessary veterinarian care including spaying and neutering. The dogs are trained with hand signals and touch signals, or verbally. As well as, given plenty of opportunities for socialization with other dogs and people.

Poet's Legacy... I Have A Vision
I have a vision... to help other dogs like me find loving, caring forever homes.
I have a vision... to educate the public about dogs like me and how we are no different from hearing and sighted dogs;
we just require a different approach to training.
I have a vision... to provide awareness to society that dogs like me are the result of ignorance and irresponsible breeders.
I have a vision... to save other dogs that are just like me from euthanasia because we are what some people consider 'defective'.
I have a vision... That We All Deserve A Chance
